Parasol stands for balconies and gardens: What variants are there and which ones are suitable for my needs?

Parasols are used in a variety of places - in the garden, on the balcony or terrace, on the beach, by the pool or in the sandpit. The attachment options for parasols are as varied as their locations. There is a suitable parasol stand for every need.

Parasol stands offer stability and security

Stability is an important factor for parasols and is largely determined by the stand you choose. Reducing rings in the mounting tube or the flexible Supergrip ensure flexibility in choosing the size of the parasol poles on some models.

The most common parasol base variants

Below we provide an overview of the different parasol stands.

PE-stand

This simplest and most cost-effective form of parasol base is made of lightweight plastic and, depending on the model, filled with water or sand. The advantage here lies in its low weight when empty. After use, unlike other variants, the PE stand can be emptied and stored easily. This makes it particularly suitable for variable locations where it can be filled and emptied on-site.

Concrete stand

Concrete stands are parasol stands where a plastic shell is filled with concrete, providing weight and stability. They come in various sizes to accommodate different parasol sizes and poles. Heavier concrete stands may feature wheels or handles for easier repositioning.

Granite stands

These stands are made of granite, making them solid, heavy, and stable. They are available in round or square shapes depending on your needs. We offer granite parasol stands in various sizes with different weights in our product range.

Plate stands

For those who need high stability for large parasols, a plate stand is a good choice. In this type of stand, four paving stones are inserted into the base of a cross-shaped frame, providing stability. Plate stands are available for both private and commercial use, such as in restaurants.

Balcony parasol stands

On balconies, space is often limited, and every inch must be used efficiently. That's why there are parasol stands specially designed for balconies, allowing parasols to be attached in a space-saving and practical manner.

The unique feature of balcony parasol stands is their rectangular shape, allowing the parasol to be attached to the side rather than the center. This allows the parasol to be pushed as close as possible to the balcony railing. This optimizes shading on the balcony, and even on small balconies, the parasol won't hit the wall.

Balcony parasol stands are available in concrete, granite, and PE materials. Besides personal preference, the size of the parasol used also determines the choice of stand. For larger parasols, there are balcony plate stands. Those who prefer lighter options and have smaller parasols can opt for stands made of plastic, which can be filled with water or sand on-site.

Parasols on balconies can also be attached directly to the railing with a balcony clamp or parasol holder, or with a table clamp on the balcony table.

Our parasol holders Foxi and Maxi consist of two compact and aesthetically pleasing half-shells made of reinforced plastic, which are mounted on the balcony railing to provide space-saving support. Foxi is suitable for smaller parasols up to 32mm Ø pole diameter on a round balcony handrail, while Maxi securely fastens slightly larger parasols up to 38mm Ø and can also be used on square railings.

Mobile parasol stands

Mobile parasol stands are parasol stands with wheels, primarily suitable for cantilever parasols. These stands feature plastic tanks that can be filled with water or sand to provide the necessary weight. An integrated foot pedal allows for easy lifting, and the stand can then be rolled to its new position using the built-in wheels. A steering handle assists with effortless maneuvering.

Ground and lawn anchoring, wall mounting

For those who need their parasol more or less fixed in the same place on the lawn, they can embed their holder in the ground or lawn. As a result, the holders are hardly noticeable and require virtually no space. In our range, we offer the following options:

Ground spikes, base plates, or ground sleeves are directly screwed into the ground, buried, or embedded in concrete. Depending on the type, the parasol is either recessed into them or attached to them. All models have the same base plate onto which cantilever parasols can be securely mounted.

Ground spikes provide ideal support for parasols with a pole diameter of 38 to 58 mm Ø. The spike is screwed into the desired spot in the lawn and can be moved variably without damaging the ground. This provides maximum flexibility regarding the parasol's location. The practical centering screws also ensure that your parasol remains vertical even on uneven ground.

Our lawn spike offers maximum flexibility for small parasols, as it can be effortlessly moved without leaving any damage to the lawn. Therefore, it is also ideal for beach or pool vacations. With the help of the metal loop, you can easily secure the lawn spike in the ground using your foot.

The lawn quadruple spike, which takes up slightly more space due to the struts anchored with ground pegs, offers increased stability and can securely hold larger parasols without sacrificing flexibility.

The wall bracket is one of the most space-saving methods of parasol attachment. With it, parasols can also be mounted on walls. The base plate is anchored directly to the wall with screws. This provides an elegant solution when no stands should be on the ground, yet shade is still desired.
